Residence Education

Residence Education

Whether you’re coming to Starkville from across the country or just down the road, living on campus gives you total access to all the MSU community has to offer right at your doorstep- academics, tradition, passion, involvement, culture, and more! Housing and Residence Life is here to serve students and make sure you can grow personally and succeed academically at MSU. A staff of resident advisors and one live-in staff member serve each on-campus community. We’re here to introduce you to other students and organizations, celebrate your accomplishments, and be your home away from home.

We get that college is a time for you to grow academically and personally, and want to help you with both. With different events ranging from Battleship and dance parties to programs on how to eat healthy in college and everything in between, our staff helps you connect with others in your hall and on campus to make sure you’re meeting people, having fun and enjoying a well-rounded college experience. These events are posted in the res halls and are continuously updated on the digital TV monitors in each hall’s common space.
