Welcome HOME to MSU Housing and Residence Life!

The Department of Housing and Residence Life is excited to welcome you HOME to the Bulldog Family during our move-in processes!

Due to COVID-19, our move-in process will look much different this year in order to make the move-in process as safe as possible for you, your family, and our staff members. Please read the following information thoroughly to understand the scheduling process for moving to Mississippi State.

MVNU2MSU 2020 GUIDELINES AND REQUIREMENTS

MSU ID IS REQUIRED.

**YOU MUST OBTAIN YOUR MSU STUDENT ID CARD BEFORE ARRIVING.

Please click here to complete that process.

Your ID will be mailed home and can take up to 10 days to arrive. You will not be allowed to move-in to the residence halls without your MSU ID. Please make sure to complete this in enough time for the date that you are scheduled to move-in. We recommend submitting the form for your MSU ID by the end of July the latest.

Health Screenings Are Required.

Mississippi State University will require students and visitors to complete a health screening upon arrival to campus to move-in. On particular days, this screening will take place at the centralized check-in waiting area. More details to follow on this process.

Face Masks Are Required During the Move-in Process.

Students and guests MUST wear a face covering or mask on campus when they are in public spaces where physical distancing cannot be obtained or within MSU buildings.

Visitor and Guests Limited to 3 per MSU Student and 2 Vehicles. Students are asked to bring only 2 vehicles per student for moving in. We also ask that you keep your move-in party to a maximum of 4 total people. Only two vehicles per student will be issued parking passes to enter the unloading zones during move-in day processes.

Volunteers/Move-in Assistance are Limited.

Students and their guests are moving their personal items from their vehicles to their rooms.

Tip: If you don’t absolutely need it, do not bring it.

PANHELLENIC NEW MEMBER RECRUITMENT MOVE-IN SIGN UP DAYS: AUGUST 10TH & 11TH

Panhellenic New Member Recruitment Students Must Arrive by August 11th

Please make sure to sign up for August 10th or August 11th as your move-in day

Arrival Timeslots- Students will be able to sign up for a check in day via a link we will be emailing out next week. Check your MSU email over the next week to receive a sign-up link for you to sign up for your move-in day.

You will need to know your residence hall assignment in order to sign up for a slot. Once you have signed up for a day, we will issue you a timeslot on that day in order to control the traffic flow within the halls. You are encouraged to sign up for the same day as your roommate if you all would like to move-in at the same time.

Unloading Zone Locations- Students will report to the unloading zone for their individual residence hall, each day. Each student will have a designated time period in the unloading zone to move their items into their residence hall.

DO NOT arrive to your unloading zone location more than 30 minutes before your check in time – you will not be given access earlier than the designated timeslot.
